Have been looking in on the Radio page for some time now,
so decided to send a bit of a work BIO on myself to add to the site. I can
also forward some info on Retirements and Obits of Radio Operators from this
area ( Gander) if you would like.

Attended ASTS Ottawa, Sep to Dec 1961.
Posted to several stations in Quebec Region including;
Indian House Lake, Lake Eon, Sept Isles, Roberval.
1963 transferred to Atlantic Region, spent some time on
icebreakers CCGS Wolfe on Arctic supply trip, then on Walter Foster out of
Saint John, NB, Tupper for a short while, then on CSS Hudson 1965/66 out of
Bedford Basin, Halifax, next in 1966 to newly opened Comfort Cove Marine
Radio/VOO in NL, got sent to Goose Bay Radio in June 1967,resigned in June
of 1968 and joined CN Marine a RO on NL to NS ferries for 4 years, in 1972
joined Transport Canada again at Comfort Cove Radio and in 1974 went to
Placentia Bay Marine Traffic in Argentia, 1976 transferred to my last stop
in Gander Aeradio, retired from there in April 1995, Like Hank Snow, “I’ve
been everywhere”.
