My name is Gunter Korell, I worked for DOT/MOT in Winnipeg, OIC Len Turchyn, Chesterfield Inlet, OIC Len Turchyn / Wilf Rombach, Sioux Lookout, OIC Phil Zacher, back to Winnipeg as a Radio Operator, during the years of 1967 to 1972?
After all those years, it is stimulating to see so many familiar names that I worked with on this website. Who can ever forget a man by the name of Charlie Brown, if still alive, he must be close to 200 years old and probably still eating every day, toasted cheese sandwiches for lunch, or Scotty Stewart AOS, John Skitcko TAM and Tom Kenny, man of all tasks.
Now living in beautiful BC, yes, at times I miss those days in front of the equipment, the weather observations, life was very simple and peaceful then, but that is history now...
God bless you all.
