Naval Officer in the Royal Canadian Navy during the First World War. Was Director of the Canadian Government Radio Branch in 1921. He ordered all Ham Operators to dismantle and render inoperative all radio equipment at the beginning of World War II.

Officier de marine de la Marine royale canadienne pendant la Première Guerre mondiale. A été directeur de la Direction de la radio du gouvernement canadien en 1921. Il a ordonné à tous les opérateurs de radioamateur de démonter et de rendre inopérant tout l'équipement radio au début de la Seconde Guerre mondiale .

Lt. Cmdr. C. P. Edwards, retired Deputy Minister of Transport, a pioneer in telecommunications and internationally known for his work in that field, died in Ottawa on July 14 at the age of 74.
