Obituary - Avis de décès

Harold Bucknell

1920 - 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Bucknell of Edmonton. Harold was 92 years of age and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lucille, his daughter, Barbara (Rick) Feist; sons, Brad and Barry (Tina); grandchildren, Henri, Sarah (Mark), David (Natalie) and great-grandchildren, Haven, Conner and Tristan (Tarzan); sister, Gladys Dale and brothers, Robert (Isabel) and Jim (Edith) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Mary; sisters, Katherine, Edith and Louise and his brother, Wray.

Harold was born in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. After graduating from high school Harold took technical training in radio communications, spending the second world war on the Canadian west coast managing naval and land communications.

After the war he was assigned to Snag, Yukon and later to Fort St. John, where he met Lucille. They were married late in 1950 and settled in Edmonton. After retirement Harold was a passionate bridge player and was disappointed in not finding any players in his last days in the hospital.
