the Canadian Forces, 291 trade from 1987 to 1997, stationed in Masset,
Alert, language school and CFSRA Det. Fort Meade, MD.

Editor's Note: The 291 trade in the Royal
Canadian Navy was called " Radioman Special " until the late 1960s when
it was renamed " Communication Research 291". The 291s worked mostly at
remote radio stations in the Arctic and at other locations around the
world like at Fort Meade, MD and in Bermuda. As for me, I was a "
Radioman " (without the special). My trade was renamed " Radioman Sea
251 " in the late 1960s. The 251s worked mostly on board ships, onboard
submarines and at Naval Radio Stations communicating with the Canadian
naval fleet....
